La Porte HVAC has to handle two problems at once. Outdoor units face salt-laden air off Galveston Bay and process emissions from the Bayport corridor. Indoor coils take a beating from sub-micron particulates that standard fiberglass filters miss. The standard suburban install fails on both fronts within a few years.
We default to factory-coated outdoor coils with stainless hardware, and MERV-13 media filters or whole-home electronic air cleaners on the indoor side. The outdoor unit lasts twice as long. The indoor coil stays clean enough to maintain efficiency.

Two distinct patterns run side-by-side. On the bayfront streets near Sylvan Beach: corroded outdoor coils, salt-pitted contactors, refrigerant leaks at corroded fittings ($350 to $650 for diagnosis and R-410A recharge). On the inland refinery-corridor streets: fouled indoor coils, blower wheels caked with particulate film, and condensate drains backing up faster than they should.
